Throughout history, each generation inherits the world that our ancestors leave to us. Some of our relatives created great works of beauty, ideas and discoveries that helps us live a better life. Some of our relatives did just the oppisite for reasons we may never understand. It seems that part of our nature is to unify and preserve, and part is to separate and destroy. Right now we are the living generation in the oldest story ever told. This is what we all have in common. The ability to make choices that will determine what our future generations will inherit. Will we unite and take care of each other and our planet, or do just the opposite to our doom?The songs on this album were written with this question in mind.
What started out as a project to record all my music for my children, turned out to be a life changing artistic creation of 144 of my original songs, recorded in my home studio here on Maui in 2016-17. Besides a few geckos and birds and two piano tracks, I played all of the instruments. Singing these songs helps me tune in with the tempo of life, and gives me a more positive outlook for the future. Times being what they are, I am encouraged to share them with everyone, and hopefully help cultivate a little more healing, love and forgiveness. I know to some , this may sound a bit trite and pretentious, however, it is what it is, no more on less. A big mahalo for all the contributions that helps to support my precious family, and helping me to continue to write and keep getting better at this art form that I love so much. I am pleased to release these songs to you and share my graditude for life and love to Great Spirit.
